My Characters
This is not a picture of my Wizard Alborath (anyone recognise the name?) but who cares - Alborath is a 24th level Mage in Diablo, but in AD&D has only advanced to level 5 as an invocation/evocation mage.
Not on of my characters - but a powerful wizard all the same - Raistlin can be found in the early DragonLance books - particuarly the Twins Trilogy.
