:::Short Story - Part 2:::
Warm amber eyes blinked from their hiding spot as they watched the strange man. He was like her, similar facial traits, but bigger, at least twice her size. The branch upon which she rested was heavily covered in leaves, hiding her from his sight. Another thing she could not understand was the darkness in his eyes, yet he did not feel like one of those beings which belonged to the dark.
She sat back upon the branch, knees held by her slender arms as green flecked, brown hair fell about her slender high cheek boned features. Lashes closed briefly, brushing her cheek as she remembered finding him at the bottom of her tree, bound and naked. How she approached with caution in case he was someone to be cautious about. The last flickering memory was that of the small bagof supplies she had left for him to find upon his waking. Now her amber eyes opened again to peer upon his stirring form and watch as he, in obvious pain, spy the bag. She smiled to herself, not moving from her hidden position, just observing.
The wind stirred the leaves of the tree, she felt her breath get caught in her chest at the sudden fear of being discovered. The simple tan skin about her hips and breasts moved lightly in the breeze, giving away no noise. She searched for his face again, stopping her gaze upon his as she realised she had indeed been spotted. Body tense, ready to disappear within the tree if needed.

:::Short story - Part 1:::
The rope bit into his wrists, the cord stained crimson with his blood. How long had he been like this? He couldn't remember.
Eyes partially open, they quickly closed again as the streaming sunlight caught them, chasing away the peaceful darkness. Slowly his dark orbs opened once more, his surrounds swimming into focus. The streaming sunlight was now broken by the green leaves of the massive oak, it's trunk rough with age and broken bark.
Head tilted back, looking towards the massive canopy, it became obvious how much his body hurt as the pain began to come into focus. Dark stringy hair fell back, revealing his chiseled features, cheekbones high upon his slender face. The pale skin beneath the stubble on his chin was all that revealed his true skin colour, the rest was covered in the dried blood of another, this he knew. He wished that he could remember what had happened, what he had done.
Parched and cracked lips parted to expel his anguish but no more then a squeak echoed forth revealing the dryness in his throat. He was sure now that it had been a few days since he last drank and that he needed to find water rehydrate himself.
Slowly pushing himself up with his bound hands he found that his body still contained some strength though it was waning. As his dark eyes looked down to the earth beneath him he discovered his state of undress, only the falling leaves having given him some decency. Suddenly his eyes took on a new shine as he looked closer at the greenery upon him, it was new and the leaves young and tender, as if they had been placed there. Quickly his head flicked up, hair falling across his cheeks, framing his features, hiding his pointed ears. Blinking rapidly to produce moisture upon his eyes, his head turned, to the left and right, searching for his captor, or was it his savior! They found none but a small brown sack resting against the trunk where he had rested.

Mud was everywhere, over the green grass, over the helpers. She just wouldn't budge.
Out came the rope, fastening at her front.
With a loud cry the helpers tugged and pulled back, groaning and grunting with the effort exerted.
Slowly she edged her way forwards, her angry growl turning into a contented purr.
The edge of the mud pit was close, so close that she could feel the freedom, taste the bitter sweet victory.
It was almost hers.
Suddenly with a loud exclamation she surged forwards, purr still on high, full of excitement.
The rope snapped, she slid back, the purr dulling to a groan as the mud encroached her tired and worn body, burying her even further in her depths.
The helpers released the rope and stood back, splattered in fresh mud, assessing the situation.
She had gone further back in the slippery terrain, further into peril.
The best thing to do was take what they could salvage and leave the rest to the elements to scavenge.
Having gathered what they could, they stopped to take another look and farewell the old beast.
She had done her job well over these many years but her time had drawn to a close and it was over.
That was the end of the old car, she was embedded in the slippery mud, left to be a reminder to avoid that part of the land and the many years they had shared, to succumb to the weather and rust in peace.

So far the day has gone well with little happening but lots happening.

Jewellery sells itself and have arranged for a party in January. Have one tonight which looks to be a goer. Can't wait to sit back and watch! It isn't mine but anothers.

Started on our bedroom, finishing emptying the boxes in there from our move. Already have a box of stuff to throw out, hope no one misses anything.

Gotta get back to it so Kylie can get into our room.
